Since 1997, our team has been committed to strong ethics and excellent financial advice. We’re confident that the more you learn about us, the more you’ll find to like.

Mission

Our mission is to enrich the lives of our clients, colleagues, and communities through sound financial advice, integrity, and a commitment to service beyond expectation.

Vision

Our vision is to be the most valued and impactful company in the history of the independent financial advisory industry.

Our Core Values

Swico core values capture our collective heartbeat and direct how we serve our clients, relate to our colleagues, interact with our vendors and partners, and address our communities. With a focus on serving others, you can feel confident that we have your best interests at heart.

Accountability

Individually and as a company, we accept responsibility for our actions. We embrace our roles as trusted advisors and understand our obligation to be vigilant stewards of all that is entrusted to us.

Integrity

We conduct ourselves with honesty and fairness and in all circumstances. We do what is right—even when it is difficult or out of fashion.

Respect

Everyone is worthy and valuable. All points of view deserve thought and consideration. We acknowledge each person’s right to dignity and use courtesy, civility, and deference in our interactions.

All employees contribute to our success. We cooperate with one another, share information, solicit ideas and opinions, and appreciate every person’s engagement.

Community

We have a profound responsibility to share our success. We contribute time, money, and energy to our communities, with a special focus on children in need.

The Swico Edge

As one of the nation’s largest financial advisory firms, we have the depth, access, and leverage to deliver excellent service that exceeds expectations. Here’s how.

The Main Ingredient: We serve as fiduciaries, which legally binds us to put our clients’ interests ahead of our own. Because 100 percent of our revenue is derived from client advisory services, our success relies on your success.

No-Golf-Ball Rule: We are committed to maintaining the independence required for complete objectivity. Since our inception, it has been our policy to never accept anything from our industry vendors, even something as small as a golf ball. This means no trips, no meals, and no pay-to-play, allowing us to maintain the integrity of our independence.

Promises Kept: Our client retention rate (98 percent average since 2010) reflects our commitment to providing excellent advice and solutions, as well as keeping our promises.

Comprehensive Advice: We develop financial strategies based on each client’s unique financial needs and goals.

Experience and Leverage: Our decades of experience as financial advisors to a broad and highly diverse clientele—including individuals, families, large 401(k) plan sponsors, pension funds, endowments, and foundations—provides valuable insights for investing our clients’ assets. As one of the country’s largest registered investment advisors, we have the leverage to gain significant advantages for our clients, including first-person access to investment managers and a strong position to negotiate better fees and services.
